User Functionality and System Administration

1. Improved Search:

  • Added Search by Word filters including Boolean search and by fields.
  • Added Number of Results Selection with default 10 and maximum 100 per page.
  • Added Navigation by Page in results.

2. Improved Reports:

  • Reports have been grouped in Acceptance (previously: acceptance, education, groups, users), Others (previously: report by stage, by owner, expired, audit trail, inactive and compliance).
  • Added Generate New Report to allow the creation of reports based on different fields.
  • Change Generation of Reports from drop down menu to Table of Contents view to allow finding documents easier.
  • Added Number of Results selection with default 10 and maximum 100 per page.

3. Improved User Management:

  • Added Select All in user administration.
  • Added Sort by User name and full name.
  • Added Search by Full Name.
  • Added Number of Results selection with default 10 and maximum 100 per page.
  • Added Permission icon under user's tool bar to allow setting permissions to multiple users.
  • Added Effective Date to user's table to track password changes.
  • Added Expiration Date for password in number of days and interface to set the default value.
  • Made User Name case-insensitive.
  • Added User Profile Screen to allow users to update their information and password.

4. LDAP Authentication:

  • Added LDAP synchronization of user name and e-mail at login.
  • Added LDAP synchronization of all account under user management for user name, e-mail and inactive account.

5. SMTP Notification (e-mail):

  • Added log capabilities to identify invalid e-mail addresses.
  • Added capability to send reminders for users including Audience, Review and Approval groups.

6. Document Management:

  • Added Document Viewer to improve display of documents by separating the document view from the application.
  • Added support of Microsoft Word documents as native documents.
  • Microsoft Word documents have been included in search results.
  • Improved workflow of documents to include view allowing to see review and approval results by user together with e-mail notification status by user.
  • Added Audit Trail Table to log all changes within a document including change of ownership, adding a quiz, changes in audience, review and approval groups.
  • Added capability to change owner during draft and review stages to improve workflow.

7. Management:

  • Added capability to disable/enable Alert and News modules.
  • Added permissions by folder to restrict adding document to folder (writing), viewing folders (reading) and managing folders (administration).
  • Added Log Table to keep track of changes within the application including password changes, adding /deleting folders, changes within the configuration of the application like LDAP, SMTP, language, etc.
